About EEONA
Established in 2003 the Equal Employment Opportunity Network of Australasia (EEONA) is a national peak body representing over 400 member organisations across Australia and New Zealand. The aim of EEONA is to provide EEO practitioners across Australia and New Zealand with an "Australasian" voice on diversity and equality issues.EEONA provides members and the community with cutting edge research on diversity and equality best practice through its biannual Australasian Diversity Equality Survey (ADES), provides professional development opportunities for members, and leads/participates in key initiatives to progress diversity and equality (such as the Taskforce on Care Costs).

Recent Projects
EEONA is a key supporter of the Taskforce on Care Costs (TOCC). TOCC is a strategic alliance between key businesses and non-government organisations to investigate the financial cost of care (for children, the elderly and people with a disability) and how those costs impact workforce participation of carers. TOCC's objectives are to promote reforms within a policy framework of financial sustainability, equity and choice. TOCC’s research reports are available at tocc.org.auSubmissions
August 2008 - New: Submission to the Standing Committee on Employment and Workplace Relations on their Inquiry into pay equity and associated issues related to increasing female participation in the workforce.August 2008 - New: Read the EEONA submission to the Senate Inquiry into the effectiveness of the Sex Discrimination Act in eliminating discrimination and promoting gender equality.
June 2008 - New: Submission to the (Australian) Federal Government on the draft National Employment Standards.
